that's a good question. I think that if the cories were larger ones then the pictus wouldn't eat them but then it might just beat them up. I've been close to buying pictus many times but never done it. Unless someone has tried it, I think it's probably something you'd just have to experiment with. One good thing is that the pictus will be out during the day so at least it'll hopefully be obvious what's going on where as most cats are active at night and you'd never know without a redlight. It worked for me. As long as the cories are big enough that the pictus doesnt see them as food they will be fine. The only thing my pictus every really hurt was my cardinal tetras. I had gotten 6 and 1 would disappear every night until they were gone, pretty expensive feeders.
