Pictus Cat Surprise!

Did anyone else know that Pictus cats make noise? When I moved mine to a bigger tank, I scooped him up into a plastic pitcher, and he made some sort of buzzing noise that vibrated the pitcher. It freaked me out! But I thought it was facinating. How do they make that noise?

Mine did that. I think they vibrate some bone or something in their body. Pretty cool isn't it?

Yeah, almost all catfish do, well that I've seen.

Channel catfish sometimes croak when I catch them fishing, and my Synodontis catfish makes a buzzing noise, and so did my Pictus.

Pictus buzzing is very quiet compared to the other two, it sounds like angry bees.
