Pierced Animals, Sick People

anything in the "general topics" area doesn't count towards your post count. have to post in the actual forums pretaining to fish.

That is just very wrong. Why would some jerk peirce animals? :rant2:

Actually, my girlfriend and I, we've been looking forward to get a bulldog, name him tequila and pierce him with a ring in one of his ears.

I can understand tattooing an ear for identification, but that really isnt needed now that microchips are available. Our local shelters put them in animals before adoption and then if they are ever found as a stray, the vets offices and the shelters scan for them and a number comes up. Then they call the company and they can tell who owns the animal and where they live they also list the shelter that they were adopted from in case the owner moves. Our local no kill shelter microchips for $15. A tattoo probably costs more than that. One of our dogs is microchipped, I personally did it myself since I worked at the shelter when I adopted him and he didnt feel a thing, plus you'd never know it was there unless you scanned him.

ok a farm is one thing they have reasons for doing things i am just not going to go there. however just some bozo thinkes his dog would look cool with a tat or a piercing is just off
