Hello all! I've noticed these pink-ish white goldfish in the feeder tanks at Petsmart/Petco and I'm wondering if they stay that color or develope red patterns as they mature? Thanks!

My white ones have all stayed white. They are from the breeder tanks and are beautiful.

I think what you saw might be rosy red minnows, a different color strain of fathead minnows. They look a bit like small common goldfish, but thinner and lighter in color than an orange common. They can be that pinkish orange, brown, or a combination. http://www.fishpondinfo.com/rosies.htm

If the fish are not metallic and are in the feeder tank they could also be pinkie marts. When you cross a calico to calico you get 25% brown metallic, 50% calico and 25 % pinkie matts. The browns and
Pinks are feeder fish.

Here are a few picture of my Bristol shubinkins. At the bottom there is a very color fed pinkie matt.
