In all my years, this is the first i've heard...never seen this documented anywhere or even heard anyone state this...sure your not confused with a mantis shrimp???

Bull cookies! A Pistol Shrimp poses no danger to an aquarist. I've been "shot" countless times by Pistols up to 3" long and they've never left a mark. If they can't mark me I guarantee they can't crack glass. You have them confused with Mantis Shrimp.

I've been pinched by an angry pistol shrimp before, it cut through a little bit of skin and it hurt, but it didn't draw blood.
