Pl*co Question.

Hey all.

It's been awhile since my last post, and this is the place to ask questions when it comes to my tank, so here it comes.

I noticed that when I feed my Pl*co gets pretty aggressive. Is this normal? He chases the others away from the food (wafers, and veggies).

That is normal for common plecs. I have one and every time I feed him he chases and bullies the other fish, regardless of their size. As the plecs eat slower than other fish you just need to make sure he gets enough, also when they reach adulthood they tend to become more carnivorous.

Don't know about commons but my bristlenose is a complete dog-in-the-manger when it comes to food. he chases everything off. even my moonlight gourami who's twice the size.

Id say hes too big for the tank and thats why he will get aggressive, not to mention they get more territorial than anything. But if hes 12 inch, 1 foot, and hes in a 55 rite, 4 foot, he can only move 3 lengths of his own body size, kinda cramped.
