I know this is a freshwater forum, but i thought since i know for sure that your common pl*co's are freshwater mainly, that someone here would know the answer. i know their a hardy fish, but can they take brackish water? i love pl*co's and have a 29g brackish water set up and want to make sure one would be ok in it.

From what I hear it will eventually kill them although they may live for a few weeks-months why risk it. The pleco is a freshwater fish.

Nope, won't survive long term. They can make it through a salt treatment for things like ich which can mean low level salt int he water for up to 3 weeks but brackish conditions are much higher levels of salt.
