Planned stock

Loaches can be a bit nippy IME, though I do love them so... :)
they were planning on kuhli loaches though...I dont think I have heard of anyone claiming that their kuhlies are bothering their bettas fins but I guess it might happen...somewhere

My bad. Kuhlis would be about the only ones that I'd trust not to be nippy.

Good point. Well I really want the betta but then again I am not 100% sure and I do have time. I just don't want to get things that don't work or I decide I really don't like latter. I am getting into the mentality of a fish being non-disposable. I know that sounds horrible but that is kinda ho I thought of them for years until we got this tank and my Father-in-law made me really think about it more. yes I know I am a horrible person for feeling that way before. But I am really starting to get into this and love the fish!

Anyway I like the Angels too..... I might wait on the Betta and set up a tank just for him later.

Very cool and no need to apologize for past indiscretions... Before I "caught the bug", "saw the light", and found this site, I was a fishy serial killer. You're doing better than 99% of the people who keep fish by asking BEFORE you bring them home and experience troubles.

One word of caution... Beware of MTS! :grinyes:

MTS??? Multiple tank syndrome?

jeez man don't tell me that.. I just got out an expensive hobby because I was spending too much and not spending enough time with the family... Hope this one can be kept under control. At least I can use my daughter as an excuse for this one though for a while. LOL After all it is her tank not mine technically.

What was the prior hobby? Craigslist has been very good to me. ;)

Proir hobby was FE Boats. Fast Electric RC Boats. Scratch built each costing upwards of $1500 and taking a few months to build and then there were the meets and well you know how hobbies go, they turn into addictions sometimes, but I truly don't have the time to do all that anymore. This wasn't even planned to be something for me like I said, I am just remembering how much I loved my aquariums as a kid and it is kinda filling the hole that scuba left..... (now that got expensive)
I have never used Craigslist, I'll give it a shot. Thanks hooked Newbie and everyone for all the help
