Plans for Hillstream Habitat

Good luck with the river tank... I'd love to set one up but I am trying to set up a couple of new tanks already and get rid of the rest of my tanks... plus they are pretty rare around here (the loaches I mean). I;ve got about a perfect tank IMO for them though that would be cheap and easy to set up, a 40g long which is still 4' long but short and skinny. Something 100g or more is going to take a lot of flow!

You should see the output of the ViaAqua 3900s. They are amazing for the price. I bought mine on sale for 39.95 from drsfosterandsmith.com.

I'm with you on trying to get rid of and set up new tanks. I honestly hate the 48"x13" layout of the 55s and one 65 I have. That's why the fish room stands are just going to be inexpensive and easy to put together for now. I want to eventually switch over to all 2' 60 cubes and 4' 120s. I love the 2' height and width.

Still planning. I need to get the fish room sorted out and get the tank cleaned and the glass for the overflow. I need to fix the rim on the tank and build a base for it as well. I'm pretty sure that I'm just going to build a platform out of 2x12s and 1/4" plywood and sit it on there. I still plan on putting the 110 above it and have the support for that pretty much worked out as well. It's all just a matter of executing my plan now.

I may be getting a group of clown loaches and yoyos from a guy in Boston, so I'm having to up my plans to make my 90 my planted tank to give them the 110. I'm going to detail my work in progress in another thread since it is more extensive than just this one tank.
