plant bulbs at walmart

I bought a pack, which was for i think $3. And out of the 12 or so bulbs that were in there, mabey 7-8 grew. there were a ton of the aponogetons. 2 tiger lillys and a onion plant which didnt look like it would grow and didnt. The 2 tiger lillys are growing in now and one leaf reached the surface! the aponogeton grew fast and i repanted some in my puffer tank. They all grew those stalks with little split flowers at the ends. As for the onion. if it doesnt have green stem coming out of it when u buy it. don't get it. Heres some pics of the aponogeton.

If you buy them and they don't grow i highly suggest sending them in.They will give you triple the amount you bought and all the ones i got in the mail were growing in the envelope

UPDATE:

i dropped a pack of lillies, and one of the apogoneton's in on friday night (about 6 of each). on Sunday night, i had 4 bulbs that had about an inch worth of sprout, and another that was JUST starting to sprout. I don't know which is which, because i dropped them in randomly.. one of my lilly bulbs, however is STILL floating. I know its the lilly because it was the biggest one out of both packs. I even tried to cut an opening to let all the air bubbles out, and it worked for that night. but when i woke up that morning, it was back to floating at tthe top. overall, i'm happy with the purchase, and i'll most likely send the bad ones back, and get some freebies...
