So I have a 29G Cichlid tank. With three red zebras and two yellow tailed violet cichlids. I want to get plants. What plants would you recomend getting w/ these digging lovers?
Also what kind of gravel/substrate. I currently have blue gravel from Walmart. My PH is low I want to get crushed coral. Big Als has some good coral my b/f got. But Pet Smart has some cheaper, but it does not look the same. Do you know anything about the two? Which is better? I'm sure what else to get. Sand? Smaller gravel? I know my fish would love some sand but would they just dig plants up too? I was thinking of keeping some of my blue gravel, add crushed coral, and put a majority of sand or other substrate in for plants. I'm concerned w/ root structure as well as what my fish won't destroy.
