Plant collections

yah, something that's going to give me a nice assortment that I can build off of. I want to work with three 2' sections and then tie them together. I'll probably have a large piece of driftwood on the left and right with the large lace rock in the middle.

eBay has several plant packages through the seller 'Aquadise' that have colors and textures and variety that work well with one another.

I've purchased from Aquadise before. The packaging tends to allow for some damage to the plants, but they are great about tossing in random freebies and also about refunding you for damaged plants that end up dying after a couple of weeks.

If you aren't familiar with the plant species on-sight, their system of ID numbers (which correspond with the plants in their ebay-listed auctions for those who notice) can leave you very confused as to what is what sometimes. In-general I was pleased with the seller. They were very accombodating despite the fact that two of the plants they sold me didn't survive. They refunded me promptly and also ended up recalling one of the plants because of how poorly it was shipping for quite a few customers.

My only gripe with them was that their rather boring driftwood piece they sold me had a massive infestation of bogwood worms that didn't die after 4 hours of boiling... and it was only a 6" piece of wood!!! So I don't suggest buying their driftwood.

yeah, don't make the mistakes I made: I assumed because I had a lot of lights that my plants would just take off the way I wanted... but I hadn't gotten my co2 stabilized and had crappy big gravel mixed together with ecocomplete... and nothing delicate will stay down or grow out... my glosso looks like angel hair pasta.

Substrate is 100 lbs. Eco Complete with about 100-150 lbs 1-3 mm small natural gravel on top. I'm building new lights for the tank this week. It will probably have 240 watts (6 4' T8s). I'm going with the T8s first, so I'll be able to use them on the 75 and/or 90 if I don't like how they light the 110. My alternative solution if the T8s don't work I'll go with 6 x55 watt CF from ahsupply or switch to the 75.
