Its not what I thought it was. Started out as a bulb. Most of its leaves as you see are near the substrate but there are 2 others reaching for the surface. One has already made it. I thought I read if you clip these that the plant will learn not to put them that far up. Any help appreciated.

Ignore the GSA( its only on the tank not the plants ) and water stain, I did a pwc today and didn't wipe down the tank yet.

I think it might be too. I was looking at pics of other peoples tanks and it did look like what they had.

Am I right that if I want to keep it short I should snip the leaves shooting to the surface?

edit:

I searched the forums for Tiger Lotus and now know I should cut the leaves going upwards. How big do the bottom leaves get? Mine are at least 5 inches long and wide already. I read to cut them in half. Is this correct? Should I cut them in half from front to back and trim the sides of the leaves?

You can train the plant to stay smaller and bushier by trimming down the large leaves and stopping any getting to the surface.

It might also be a dwarf pink lily. Hard to tell.
