When I bought it the guy at the LFS said it was a hygro, but he wasn't sure which variety. Could it be a sunset hygro?

No it's not, Enrique. You can see the difference here...

This is Sunset Hygro. The leaves turn pinkish at the top of the stem when it gets enough light.

This is Alternanthera reineckii 'roseafolia.' The leaves are green on the top surface and pinkish on the bottom of the leaves.
