I have a 55G planted tank with fluorescent lighting. I wanted to get better bulbs that were specailly made for them. I was suggested Power Glo and Flora Glo. I have never run them, so what do you guys think about these bulbs, or are there better ones out there?

those bulbs will work just fine but I echo was MG said... GE makes a couple types, I think one is marketed as Natural Daylight and the other as Plant and Aquarium. Hope that gets you going in the right direction...

Yeah, they'll work but your spending a lot more money and probably wont work any better. For example at HD the Phillips Daylight Deluxe 48" T8 comes in two packs for $7. I am not sure about shorter versions if you lights arent 48" though. BTW PowerGlo's are blue and FloraGlo's are pink. Some dont like using bulbs tinted that much, just wanted to make sure you knew before buying.
