plant problem

without a consistent CO2 source adding ferts is going to cause you issues I think. do you have a drop checker or any other way to figure out what your CO2 levels are?

hmm. well, you said you just started the CO2 a week ago? was the algae there already? have you seen more algae growing since the CO2 was started or is it just the stuff that was there before you started the CO2?

probably need to run at least two 2 liter bottles for 29g. Although i could be wrong, i have only used pressurized.

thinking about it I dont think there is any new algae since Ive started the co2. Ive thrown 3/4 of the plants away and there is still some on the leafs.

I really doubt you have too much light.. I run 3.3 wpg of Caralife CF that also have good reflectors. Sometimes I run them at 6.6 wpg with no plant death due to lighting.
You will want to use 2x 2ltr bottles, also try getting the wine makers yeast if possible. To give your plants a growth boost, try leaving your lights off for a day, or if they will still get to much window light, cover your tank and do a 24+ hour blackout.
Give your plants some N P K and trace so they can eat and grow.
Nitrates between 10 and 20 is a good range.
About 1 1/2 bps to 2 bps should be good, you still need a drop checker so you know your not over dosing or under dosing.

Im not sure if I understand trace?

Now with npk what if I get flourish potassium, iron, phosphorus, nitrogen, and excel?

Trace? Trace elements? micro nutrients, kinda like plant vitamins. I like plantex but i imagine Flourish does fine, and those other Flourish products should be fine too. More expensive, but i assume it would work just as good as doing dry. Excessive ferts is definitely a easy was to get algae, expecially Iron, so be careful.
