Plant Questions--Bamboo???

I've had my bamboo fully submerged for over a year and it looks like it did the day I brought it home, as a matter of fact people often mistake it as a plastic plant because it is so green. Perhaps there are different varieties...

get taller "Lucky Bamboo", look for it in china town. i used to have them in my 55gallon tank they grew 3ft tall and got really bushy. Chinese use it for decoration and often just leave them in vase full of water and best part is you don't have to worry about lighting but you do have to worry about roots becoming overgrown.
