I keep a 55gal fw community tank with stock lighting. I bought some bulbs that you get at petsmart a about a month ago. I also added a java fern last week. I just wanted to see if I would have any luck with them. An onion plant is growing and some other kind from the bulbs and the java is growing brown furry roots on 2 of the leaves.
What should I do to help the java fern spread out?
I also need an ID on the mystery bulb plant. It has long narrow leaves with stems and a long stem in the middle that reached the top of the water in one day. What can it be? Thanx in advance

The plant with the emmerging stem is an apongentum of some sort. The java fern has all it needs to grow well in your tank with the possible addition of a liquid fert being helpful.

I thought it might be a lilly but not sure. I was suprise to see the stem grow that fast.
