I think box directions should be fine. They say place a tab for every 4-6 inches of gravel radius around the plants and use every 3-4 months. What I'm doing is splitting a tab in half. (using a flat-blade screwdriver and a little whack on a hard surface. These things are tough!)....and then sticking with the shorter 3 month interval. I'm sure others will have other amendments to the directions. I'm sure the key here is to NOT overdo it.

OK, I'll use half tabs every 3 to 4 months. Also I ordered Seachem Flourish and Seachem Flourish Iron.

Another Q please.............if I use the tabs do I still need the liquid flourish and the liquid flourish iron?

Different plants have different needs. The swords will need the root-tabs, but not so much the stem plants.
Stem plants get most of their nutrients front the water.

Great looking tank Andy. I see the anacharis in the back and I"m guessing the bright gree plants in the middle are the swords. what are the two plants in the front?
