I'm having excellent results with the hi power LEDs on my 90g. I'm finally getting some pretty fast growth on my HC. Some algae on them but that came with the HC from the seller. I had a lone sprig from a prior failed attempt that had doggedly survived in a high crevice of petrified wood. It's grown from about 1mm diameter to a small "bush" of about 3" across and no algae on it. I actually turned down the intensity a bit to dampen the vendor-supplied algae until the HC got a bit more established (which is happen now). RCS are having a heyday on the algae anyway. Sooo much O2 bubbles in tank, fish look like they're swimming in champagne!
