Planting questions

I recently picked up Wisteria & Pennywort. This is my first experience with plants other than the bulbs from Petco (which are all thriving).

I removed them from the pot & removed rockwool. They both had decent roots, but they all seperated. Do I have to put them in the gravel as a whole like it was in the pot, or can I take the individual stems and plant them around the tank?

Sorry for the stupid question, but nothing I've read has covered this.

Thanks. It was difficult to root them as a bunch, I can't imagine how difficult it's going to be doing them one by one. Time to learn I guess!
