Plants and condy's chrystals?

Can I treat plants with potassium permangenate (condy's chrystals) to eradicate pond snails?

I think they are capable of coming back even if you dose..... Hopefully others will chime in, lets see what they have to say.

I think you can but dosing is kinda vague, something like "light purple". Kills some algae too as I recall.

Thanks for the response. Lupin mentioned that the chrystals had been used for snail eradication. The wisteria and vals in my shrimp tanks have heaps of pond snail eggs on them, so I'd like to dose the plants as well.

I wouldn't if they are in your shrimp tank. What kills snails may harm your shrimp since both are inverts.
