i don't know what i'm doing right, but ever since i put them in the 20g with my new light, the plants have just been going crazy. its been about a week with my 48" shoplight and 2 T12 full spectrum bulbs, and my rotala indica is lovely pink and growing every day, the hornwort is verging on taking over (not quite, but i already had to pinch off the end of one because it had reached the top of the tank and was bending over about 4") the Limnophila aquatica also has new pink sprouts, and everything else has new leaves and roots. even the crypt my cat drug under the chair when i wasn't looking, that i had to pull all the leaves and roots off, has some new root buds on the bulb-thingie.
so other than better light, the only thing that's changed is the sand substrait. i haven't been using ANY ferts at all, no CO2, and all my plants are happy and growing.
