Plants for Paludarium

Friends, any ideas if I can use paddy for this application ? Will grow well in the gaps and cracks ?

Yes, I mean the Rice Plants. I thought I just sprinkle a few seeds in the gaps and crevices between the rocks etc and let the plants grow naturally. After they grow too big, I'll remove them and re-plant the seeds. Kindly advice ifthis seems to be an ok idea ? Will it workout, Friends ?

Also will be a great help if you can kindly guide me a few details on how big these rice plants can get and how fast. Is it ok if I remove and re-seed them regularly ?
