plants in a coldwater 2 gal?

There are species of Vallisneria, Cabomba, and some Cryptocorynes for starters. Do the research. Yes it is possible to do a great looking plant tank. Choose your plant wisely.

i'd just go for some java moss.

what are you going to keep? the only coldwater anything I can think of that can live in a 2G are shrimp.

I just have two gold fish and im just using a normal 15 watt light. Just want some plants to make it not so dull...

goldfish eat live plants, except foir certian species such as anubias, java fern, and amazon swords.

if you have goldfish you need to find a way to get rid of them pretty quick since they will make too much waste for a 2G to handle and they will grow to 8-16" depending on variety. to keep your 2 goldfish you would need a 40G-75G depending on wether they are fancy goldfish or common/comet goldfish, since comets grow larger than fancies and swim more so they need more space.

sadly i do agree. 2 gal is too small for goldfish.

ya, I am only keeping them for a friend for a bit untill he is ready for them, thats why they are in the small tank...
