My Val and dwarf sagitaria are melting away.... :(
O.K here is what happened..
i had the case of GW so i did a a 72 hr black out.
GW gone.. :dance

plants looked good too..

3 days later i decided to rearrange my tank (how dumb...i know)
so i take the plant out and trim the roots and the to top it off
i got side tracked (building a CO2 REACTOR )
so the plants we out of the water for about 4 hrs...(no biggie ..right)

Then i plant the Val and Dwarf Sag and water sprite.

now 3 days later the Vals and Sag are melting away..
my java fern and crypts are still doin fine (They were not moved..)
Water Sprite is doing good too (it was moved and trimmed as well)

Maybe not. Plants are pretty strong. Do roots look good?? FIrm and white??

1.3 watts is a little low. Try to get about 2+.

I have almost 4watt per gal.

Adding light on friday to get up to 2watts/gal of PC..

any other thougghts...

trim the damage

You damaged the leaves, probably the roots are OK. Trim all the nasty parts, leaving about 1" or so above gravel level.

Next time, stuff it all in a plastic bag and seal, it will hold for days.

Don't fret over the lighting, if the grasses were growing before, they will grow again, particularly after you add the CO2 as the CO2 will help them use the lighting better.

Thax anonapersona ... i will trim the melting leaves...
why would they be o.k. in a sealed plastic bag though...???
Please educate me... :)
