i brought plants and they have died what plant is the easied to grow. i have't got a lot of time cause i am a busy mum always on the go i need some that will look after its self thanx

I've had great luck (mostly anyway) with banana plants. I've cut a few leaves off when they've reached the top of the water and they sprang roots (no bananas as of yet on the cut leaves)

I've been told Java fern is easy but I've not experienced it myself...

Good luck!

Anubias and cryptocorynes. If you really haven`t got much time, silk ones are hard to kill too. ;)

Hornwort doesn't completely die, but it does shed needles and makes a mess. I switched my coldwater tank to anacharis and water lettuce. The warmer tank has a few anubis nana and a crypt. Everything is doing well with low lighting, no ferts.

Well many plants are low maintenance but as I have found in my first few weeks none take care of themselves. Post some water test results and someone here can figure out why your first plants died. Most important are pH, Nitrate, Phosphate, and KH.

Thanks, Brent

for me - easiest have been anubias, aponogeton crispus, java fern, and floating water sprite. as someone else mentioned, though, these are low-light and low-maintenance, not none at all...
