Plants Producing Oxygen Bubbles

I've got a pressurized CO2 system, and while the plants are growing great, they seem to be producing so much oxgyen (in the form of tiny bubbles coming from the leaves) that it almost gives my water a cloudy look. Anyone else experience this. I'm guessing its just a side effect of good plant growth, but this tank never looks as "crisp" as my low tech non-CO2 tank.

This effect is called pearling and it is when plants create oxygen bubbles that do not immediately dissolve into the water.
Pearling is a sign of good health and growth.
Additionally when a plant has been broken/cut in an area, that area will have increased pearling.
Congratulations! :)

I guess you are gonna have to live with your sucess!!!

how are you diffusing your co2?

CO2 is diffused via a Hagen Elite powerhead with the impeller chopping up the bubbles. I do know this isn't the most efficient method, but it is working. I'm looking into the idea of switching from a HOB to a canister with an inline reactor.

and although some people will tell you that its not the best method of diffusion, others will tell you that when a co2 bubble lands under a leaf it is easier to pull the co2 into the plant than it is to remove it when its dissolved in water

i dont have a lot of experience with filters. i do have a eheim pro 2 (2026) on my 55g. i like it.
