I recently read somewhere that there are certain plants that are good to have in my outdoor pond w/goldfish so I don't need to feed them fish pellets so often. I don't remember where or what I read. Anyone know answer? :read:

Duckweed!!! They love it. I had a 55 gallon with a couple of fancy goldfish once, and I could not keep enough of the stuff in there for them.

they will even eat the algae that grows on the sides. i let them live off this during the winter and i only feed them once in a while.

They like to eat the roots of water lettuce, too. You can also try feeding your goldfish peas and other green garden vegetables and slices of oranges if ou wish to add some variety to their diet (although that involves a bit of work).
