Hi all. Just got 3 rasboras and 2 corys in a ten gallon a week ago. One rasbora died. Thats beside the point. I went to the lfs and fell in love with the platies. I love how they looked and acted. Since my tank is still cycling, I have reservations about making major changes. I would feel bad giving back my rasboras, but I got them pretty impulsively, because I only got them so i could get cardinal tetras down the road, which now I don't even really want. How many platies could I get with the two cories?

I reccomend you buy 4 more rasboras and 2 more cories, and them maybe you could add 2 male platies.

Should cories be in there while it's cycling?

Heres an idea.......Get 3 more rasboras, and then a male and a femal platy, and breed them?
you'll need at least 2 females for every male so he doesn't.... ahem... love one too much.

that would be cool. You can always return the rasboras and get a couple breeding pairs of platies.

I would say 2-3 pairs, but be wary you could get a lot of fry.
