Thanks Dave, I was hoping to hear from you. I have read your posts about salt treatment and followed it to the letter. I will keep up the treatment now, all fish appear fine and are acting perfectly normal with the salt and temp at 84 F. No sense messing with it and finding out that I did need it. The tank is fully stocked and as you say, now I will never have to worry about it. I did learn something though: I had no idea that a once in awhile flash was normal for a platy. Live and learn. Thanks everyone for the great advice.

every now and then some of my cories do this, I find that it is nothing and they actually just look like they are having fun.
