Please critique my 55g checklist

Here is what I want to do.

A planted aquarium with various low and mid light plants with various growth speeds. I'm experienced with pressurized CO2 injection from a previous 29g planted tank and will move that system into this 55g.

I'll do a community tank, maybe a few small cory on the bottom with a pair of kribs or rams, some SAEs and a couple groups of community fish to fill the void in the middle and upper layers.

Here is what I have in my cart on Big Als to order tonight when double VIP points become available.

Please offer recommendations on additional items or items you'd change. I just selected the things below from personal experience and am always open to suggestions of better choices. I usually shy towards overkill as opposed to underkill, but don't mind you telling me I've way over or underdone something.

  • Filtration
    • Rena Filstar XP 2 (300/gph)
    • Aqua Clear 70 (300/gph)
    • Lustar Hydro-Sponge Filter 3
  • Heating
    • 2 - 100 Watt Jager Heaters
  • Lighting
    • Coralife Freshwater 48" Power Compact 2 x 65W
  • Substrate
    • 60lbs Seachem Flourite

you will lose some of the c02 with the aquaclear
My thought was that I'd purchase an extra sponge with the aquaclear and obstruct the flow back with the sponge to eliminate splash.

Additionally I'd have the Lustar Hydro-Sponge on a timer so that it only ran while the lights were off in an attempt to keep my pH and CO2 levels in the good range since I do not use a pH regulator.

However if both/either are unnecessary then that is something I'd certainly be open to hear about.

If I'd better off with only a Rena Filstar XP 3 perhaps? I just like have two for backup purposes and because it is so easy to drop something in the aquaclear if you need some long-term slow water adjustments. But I suppose putting things in the trays in the Rena would work just fine too.
