ok guys, i'll make it quick. either a.) on of my zebra dannios likes to just hang out in the corner of my tank behind a kiddie-cornered rock... or b.) it's possibly ready to have birth/lay eggs? i really don't want it to be b.)

here is where i was talking about.. as i assumed he went a-wall when i leaned in for the picture.

do you have other danios in the tank? It does not sound like typical spawning behavior but i am not certain.......

prob. territory!!!!! what color are the stripes on the anal fin????? if they have a bluish color to them it is a female!!!

Females tend to be plumper in appearance. Heck, that's how I determine their sexes all the time.;) They breed readily but if the eggs cannot fall quickly into the substrate or thicket of plants to avoid cannibalism from their parents, then they're unlikely to survive anyway.

alright cool, thanks everyone. i'll have to call it "zebra rock" cuz that little dude/girl just stays back there. i guess i would if i were a fish too. get a little privacy.

jm1212 - you don't see it because it scurried off as i leaned in for the picture like i said.

How long has the Danio been in the tank? I have 6 Zebra's in my tank and I can tell you they NEVER sit still, not even for a second ;). How many others do you have, they definitely feel safer in numbers of their own kind. I would just keep an eye on it and hopefully it will come around and start swimming the water column soon. Hope this helps and good luck!
