I ordered the 48" Dbl striplight from DFS and it said that it comes with (2) 40 watt bulbs, "48" unit comes with polished aluminum reflector, two 48" 40W T-8 bulbs,Accepts T-8, T-10 and T-12 bulbs" Why oh why, when I opened it, is it clearly marked on the bulb, 32 watts, for a total of 64 wt?Be easy on me, it's Sunday :)

i belive i'd be on the phone to customer support asking that very same question

A 48 inch t8 is only going to produce 32 watts. A 48 inch T12 produces I think 34 watts. So these guys misrepresented the product.

Thanks Bushy!

I guess I'll be doing just that cause I just don't get it :(

damnitalltohell :(

And to think the shipping was wicked fast, just 2 days after ordering it.

Thanks guys!

T-8's are 32 watts and T12's are 40 watts so it will accept 40 watt bulbs but that isnt how they worded it. I am not positive but I believe the T-8's will put out more light than the T12's as in higher par and lumens.

So if I go out & BUY (2) T12's, THEN I'll get the 80 watts total??

They CLAIMED it came with (2) 40 watters

*cries*

Sorry, I forgot to add Thanks Archer! :)

Some T12 can produce 40 watts so I guess they were technically correct. Yet they give you 32 watt t8 bulbs. For what it is worth I believe t8s are a bit more efficient.
