He/she is fatter than all the other neons. (Bloated?)

He/she is pale and a bit yellowish.

He/she has scales that are poking out from fish.

Whats up!? Thanks in advance for the help.

Sorry about the poor pics (He/she looks a lot healthier in the pics than in the tank - go figure!) I can take more/different pics if needed.

on second look some of the others are looking a little plump - this guy definitely stands out as more milky & bloated than the rest - I'll check back here and hopefully someone will be able to help point me in the right direction but im off to my LFS to buy some meds.

:help:

Water was right on the money. Nitrates & Ammonia both tested 0. Ph is at a steady 7.5. Did not check water hardness yet.

Thanks for the link - it looks like it could be dropsy. Not sure - I will try some antibiotics and hope for the best. Maybe it was introduced by my shrimp...

Thanks for the post!

My understanding is that the same things that infect shrimp do not infect fish. Do you use test strips or a water kit, because if you have an established tank nitrAte should not be 0. What was the nitrIte?

Good Luck.

I don't think dropsy would cause the yellowing. I still vote columnaris.
