Please help ID this algae eater

Looks more like a siamese algae eater or a flying fox.
Would you mind elaborating please? I can find tons of pictures of siamese algae eaters that look like this:

and flying foxes like this:

If I google images for "dwarf chain loach" ( http://www.google.com/search?q=dwarf+chain+loach+image&source=lnms&tbm=isch ) there will be tons of images like my little guy. In the picture in post #1 the chinese algae eater in front (a bit out of focus) is the other common variant I see that is somewhat close to the dwarf loach, but not quite.

:confused::confused::confused:

Yep, dwarf chain loach (Botia sidthimunki, I believe). Put a bunch of these together in a tank and watch them go. I call them the energizer bunnies of the fish world - they never stop. I have a dozen in my 46BF community tank, and they are just fun to watch. Good luck.

Thank you. I will need good luck to even find any more of them as they do not appear to be easily available. :)

They are listed on Aquabid fairly often. Good luck.

The ones on the glass are Chinese (Siamese) Algae Eaters. They are fine for most tanks, but have a tendency to get a little scrappy and bothersome as they mature. If you are looking for a cleaning crew, I would go with a bunch (4 or 5) Otocinclus species. They are cheap usually, stay small and are very efficient. I throw a crew in each of my tanks. Loaches are very interesting fish, best kept in schools. Google them, there are many dedicated websites to Loach keepers. Love em. They love snails as snacks!

OK, the one closest to the camera on the glass is a chinese algae eater, Gyrinocheilos aymonieri, and the other one is a Siamese Algae Eater, Crossocheilus siamensis. The one on the right is a dwarf chain loach.

Speaking of Botia, I missed a Dario Botia I had...very cool lil bugger for my old 55g planted.

both of the fish on the glass in the original post are CAEs

Even though they both got the solid ragged stripe like a SAE? I am not sure any of them is a CAE any more. Sometimes the one in front has the disconnected squares of a CAE, and sometimes it looks solid ragged.
