Hi. This is my first post.

I bought these fish at an auction in late March and have since disposed of the bag they came in. I wrote down the info from every other bag, but not this one.

I thought they were Columbian Tetra, but I can't find any columbian tetra pictures that look like them. My friend thought they might be Congo Tetras, but again none of the Congo pictures I have match them either.

There may be some non-fancy guppies in these photos. I am not trying to identify them.

Thank you in advance for your help. I can try to take a better picture if necessary. It's hard to get them to stay still.

they could also be some type of Tetra...

Again, need much better picture to identify these.

I got them in late March, but they didn't have an age written on the bag. They haven't grown any. One is larger than the other four, but none have seemed to change size.

Any suggestions on how I can get a better picture?

they are a cyprinid. Some type of Danio or similar. Very similar to a giant danio but different species. I don't have any books with me here at work to look them up and no time to do an internet search. They are definitely not a tetra or rainbow. Tetras have an adipose fin, these do not. Rainbows have a split dorsal, these do not. Kyle

Yes, rainbows have a split dorsal. However on young juveniles, especially females, the front dorsal is almost never raised, especially on Glossolepis genus rainbowfishes. Which is why I asked for a better picture.

Okay, I borrowed my sister's digital camera, it's slightly better than mine. Hopefully one of these will be more helpful.

The auction was at the Comfort Inn in Penn Hills, for the Greater Pittsburgh Aquarium Society, Inc. But I don't have the bag anymore or any from it.
