Please help me ID these fish

I'm pretty sure that since OP was asking about ember tetras in picture 4, he knows what neon tetras look like. That's why I'm leaning toward #3 being a green fire (if the upper part of the body is green) and #4 needing a better picture, but it *could* be an ember or a fools gold tetra. They're similar enough in appearance that a much better picture is needed for ID.

Thanks for all the help.
So is #3 probably just a really dull neon tetra? And yes for the last picture I am interested in the orange/tan fish. After some Google searches I believe they were ember tetras but I could not find any information on fools gold tetras.

Maybe. That picture is pretty horrible, mostly for the reasons I mentioned previously. It could be a dull neon tetra, or it could be a green fire where the green is washed out by background/lighting or stress. Hard to tell without a better picture. http://www.azgardens.com/p-887-green-fire-tetra.aspx

I saw fools gold tetras at an LFS. For all I know, it was some other microfish that was mislabeled (possibly even ember tetras), because that same LFS labeled espei rasbora as harlequins, and while they're related, they're not the same.

Hopefully you find out the species. I find it quite annoying to see mislabeled or fish not even labeled at lfs's.. least they could do is have the correct name.

Eyespot Rasbora? Sometimes. I have also heard it called a Green Eye Rasbora, which is why I call it a Rasbora dorsiocellata. Saves confusion.

In my area they always pop up as Eyespot or Hi-spot Rasbora, never by the scientific name, though that is easier to say.

In the defense of the LFS, the breeder/supplier they source the fish from could mislabel/fail to label them before sending them to the LFS.

I'm not saying that doesn't happen, as I'm sure it does but there are pet stores that don't care to label fish correctly. One in particular in my area that has since closed down mislabeled quite often and I can see how that would be disastrous in some situations. Of course we should know what we're buying and research the fish first but not everyone's responsible.. of course you could say its their fault for not being diligent in knowing their stuff.. But this subject is a whole 'nother topic, so I'll stop where I am lol
