let me add a few more questions please. How long has it been retracting ? What are your water parameters like? What kind of light do you have and how old are the bulbs? What other corals/other critters are in the tank? Have you tried running carbon in your filter in case it's coral bio war fare,"they haven't signed the Geneva convention"
It looks really bleached and that's usually from poor lighting or stress due to poor water quality.
let us know please, we want to help.

It was my 1st coral & my fav and i have had my tank for a little over a year.
I have been using Missis Shrimp to feed my fish along if the bubble and i use a red micro-plankton that i mix with tank water and poor into the tank (at my das right now so i dont have it with me and i cant remember the name of it) which they seem to like cuz there feeder tenticals wave all about trying to grab some (the bubble used 2 :( )
and what has changed is that it never fills up all the way it always looks like the pics i posted and at night it looks like a dead stump when it used to b even biger at night. Havingits mouth opean tenticals stretched out very awesome

Are you feeding it at night is it responding to foods if you feed it in the day time? What are your water parameters and what else do you have in the tank with it? How long has it been going down hill? if you want go into chat and I'll try to help you there.

1st pic is right side of my tank 2nd pic is left side. the rest r what corals i have. I have my bubble of corse then a frogspawn, some mushrooms, a trumpet.candy coral, and green star polop.

Just tested my water today and it all checked out fine. PH 8.0, Nitrate under 10mills, Ammonia 0.0 mills, KH 6, Nitrite 0, Calcium 490ppm

I have been using what the fish store told me, Marine Plankton made with cyclop-eeze and Frozen Mysis Shrimp

I have had my bubble for a year and its looked great but about a month ago is when i just started to see a decline in eating and size (idk if this has anything to do with it but around that same time i say that it had a bristle worm in its mouth sucked it right down i posted here about that also) and just this last week is when it started looking like the pics i posted all the time

I use a power compact lighting and i just replaced the bulb a few days ago with a HamilTon Tecm 96w 10000k which is just what it had b4 but a difrent brand used to be a Corallife bulb

As for fish i have 2 clowns, a lawnmower blenny, a half black dwarf angel, and a Painted Fairy Wrasse

(sorry for the long post just trying to answer all the questions)

Thank you all for the help

I'm sorry I didn't know about your earlier posts. I'm afraid that the issue was the bristle worm. I'm not sure what you can do for it except hope if that's the case. You might try running activated carbon and target feeding it . I've never heard of one accidently eating a bristle worm before and it most likely poisoned it. I wish you the best of luck and you have a very nice tank.

looks bleached, just like frog spawn or possibly the light makes them look white. feed your bubble. abut kh, i don't know what test kit you used to check your hardness, but if it's from Aquarium Pharmacuticals, then it has to be between 9-12. shot your powerheads off at night and put food on top of the bubble, and better yet only leave enough light fr you to see, but for your fish it would be sleey time. start adding marine vitamin C to help. move the bubble closer to the light, all the way on top of the highest point on your rocks and secure it there well.

Thank you for all the help i will do what u say and hope he pulls through. I thought the bristle worm might have been a problem thats why i posted about it b4 but he perked up a few days after

As for how it got in there. It was climbing up the wall and fell of the glass i did not see it fall but i saw it on the glass then in the bubles feeder tenticals

Anyway i will try what you say and post back thatnk you all again for the help and care :bowing:

oh also what my corals dont look that bleached its just my camra prolly the flash idk also thanks for the complement on my tank im new at this only had it for a year and im still learning So its nice to know some1 finds it nice heh :p:

Keep us posted if he comes back in a day or two. I am guessing he might be digesting still which could be why he isn't back open.

Also I agree with badroma that your water parms don't appear to be right. PH and Alk seem a little low to me. You may want to retest at the LFS and see what they say.
