Please help. Need diy co2.

depends on temp, yeast, sugar. I have had it start in 10min and start after 45 min. Use luck warm water for faster results. I don't know if it is needed but I declorinate my water just in case it helps(any info on this anyone). I am a little interested in how you bubbles are being driven in the tank. IE airstone, through pump, buble holder...

Dont see any problems. How sugar yeast did you put in there. I always use about 2cups sugar and about a table spoon of yeast but that is not what others do just what works for me. My water is usaly a tad darker then yours.
 
I hope this isn't too off topic on this thread. I have a low light setup with just some Java fern and Java moss. Would a temporary dose of CO2 work to just boost the growth a little? I don't want to run the bottle/yeast/sugar contraption all the time; because my plants look fine as they are, I don't really want the extra maintenance and I don't have any way to camoflauge the nasty two liter hanging off the side of my tank. But would a quickie, say 20 oz Coke bottle sized, shot of CO2 benefit my plants at all?

Also I think it's smart that the OP was looking for a way to make do with what he had. Why throw money away if you don't have to? That's not quite the same as buying medicine, or food, for your fish. I'm not pointing fingers btw - just complimenting the OP. Frugality is a rare virtue. :)

OP = original poster.

I would not do a temp CO2 this does affect some of your parameters. PH especially so you would have a rise and fall effect... fall and rise.
