Actualy the pacu and 5 convicts from the other tank are going to the LFS in the morning for store credit and I'm building a 225 for the other fish. And she has an oscar in a 30 gallon mine is maybe 3".

wait I think its a large mouth bass!!!

thats what they all say

Chevy, regaurdless of if N8 follows his own advice or not, what he did give was correct.

I don't know why you're being so childish.

Thank you PumaWard

I know at times I don't follow the correct method but that is why I'm giving up some fish. I get the fish bug and want to have a lot of fish in my tanks. But I will not stear anyone in the wrong directon if I know the correct info. I give as correct advice as I can and I do follow it as well. The 8' tank stand that I built in the basment is going to have a 225 on it that I'm going to build out of acrylic, these things cost money that I don't have right at the moment so as any responsible person would, I'm giving up fish.

out of the 4 fish listed the only 2 that will out grow the 55 will be the oscar and the pacu....and unlike a lot of newbies I know this, I do 50% water changes on ALL 5 of my tanks weekly even if not needed.

Jessika, you may try slowly raising the temperature up to 84F as this will increase his metabolism= stimulation in appetite. You may also want to try adding 1tbsp salt/5-10g (that is, table salt). This will help if he has nitrite posioning and will also help if he's coming down with any external infections.

It took my two Oscars about two weeks to start eating on a regular basis. Out of all the foods I have they seem to like regular TetraMin flakes the best...

Fully agreed that Oscars seldom starve to death, and they will eat almost anything when they are ready to eat. Just give him some time. Trust me once he starts eating you won't have any food go to waste in your house.
