Okay I just got home from school(I'm in college) My 10 gallon tank has had some problems. It had a nitrite spike and killed off all fish but two albino corys. When I get the water back to where it should be what should I put in? I can do water changes every three says if I need too. I dont' want to add anymore corys because this is a mating pair and they never hang out with the other corries I've had them with. I was thinking a dwarf gourami and maybe 6 tetras OR my crowntail betta moved into it but what could I put with him? I know corries will work because I've had him with them before but are there any tetras I could put him with? You know small filler type fish. OR!!!!! I was just thinking 6 tiger barbs. Would this be okay? Would they nip at the cory's fins? Also I need an algae eater for this tank. I was thinking oto's or would a snail work?

Well do you want a schooling fish? You could do a nice planted tank with a Honey gourami or maybe some some sparkling Gouramies in that tank, along with that Cories. It actually up to you. I rarely place schoolers in a 10, they will not school after awhile. but if you want fish darting around, I would try something in a Danio family.

I don't know really lol. If I put my two male corba guppies in there what else could I have? Could I put a dwarf Gourami?

I have 6 tiger barbs and 3 panda cories in a 20g and they get along pretty well. The barbs picked on the cories the very first day but then the cories learned where to hide whenever necessary. Make sure you have some hiding place for them. However, a 10g tank with 6 tiger barbs + 2 cories seems overstocked to me, but it's your call.

See, I am a big Guppy fan and would have few females to my males. There is just something pretty about the cobra skins.

I don't want any fry that's why I keep just males.

Anybody with any ideas? I'm thinking a Male Dwarf Flame Gourami, 6 Glowlight Tetras and what else could I add??
