Please help!--What should I do?

Pics too large

I'll figure out how to shrink the size of my pics. so I can attach them. They are about 2.3 MB. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. If not hopefully my dad will help me figure it out tomorrow.

You can try changing the picture format - if they are bitmaps then they will be large files. I don't know much about this except that JPEGs are smaller. Also you could crop the images or decrease the dimensions to reduce the number of pixels.

If you don't manage to post a picture, are the symptoms still bad or are they improving?

:)

Thanks, Momar! The fish seems to be doing better but still needs a lot of healing.

Grrrr......dropsy

Grrr. Now my fish has dropsy for sure. I feel really bad and now I'm sad. :(

Sorry to hear that. :(
Are you sure it's dropsy - does it look like a pinecone? Also, does it still have the white things? I don't know if there is any cure for dropsy...

Yes, it sure is dropsy....it definitely looks like a pinecone (it kinda looks like a blowfish it's so fat). I've been cleaning the tank out a lot but my fish just seems to get worse. I put extra salt in and some anti-parasite med., but nothing seems to help. Every now and then I see a white thing come out. Still trying to get my sister to look at the one I collected. Today my fish has been sitting at the bottom of the tank. It has also been constantly opening and closing its mouth lately (I think more so since it's had dropsy). Also, as of yesterday there has been a dark looking spot (I can't really discribe it) reddish or blackish. I'm not sure if it's an infection or what....or if it's under its scales. But anyway it is a a couple of milimeters below its dorsal fin on both sides of its body. I just noticed a small flea sized black spot a few milimeters in front of its dorsal fin. I don't know what to do or if there's anything I can do. Thank you very much, Momar, for your concern.

That's ok. :)

I doubt there's anything really that you can do, even when the condition is not very advanced it is difficult to treat. It isn't really contagious though, so your fantail should be fine. But I wouldn't be optimistic for the goldfish. :(
