First i would like to say hello, and that i am very happy to have found a website that can help me with my new hobby.
I have aquired 2 freshwater clams and i am worried about one of them. I had 3 clams originally and i stored them in my water change bucket for about 30 hours. unfortunatly i dont have a spare heater so they were kept by my wall heater. anyway... i gave one to my friend and i placed 1 in my 28 gallon bowfront and the other in my 10 gallon the one in the 28 gallon seems to be doing fine. i have witnessed his shell open and close. but the one in my 10 gal has opened and i have not seen it close. also, the "tongue" is sticking out of its side, and it was originally black on the tip but now it is just about all white. is this a sign of declining health or is it the opposite??? if anybody has any words of advice or maybe a care guide it would be MUCH appretiated.
