PLEASE HELP!!

For those of you who have had this, did it stay contained to just the wood? Mine branched out to some java moss that was nearby and began to invade that. It was at that point that I decided it had to go and I pulled the wood ans scrubbed it thoroughly and left it out of the tank.

Well I took it out late last night. I had it sitting out to dry. Then today I stuck it outside in a bucket full of water. I hope that it will get that jelly stuff out of its system. It just looks REALLY nasty.

Thank you all for all your help.

That won't work, it will just come back.

So i have to let it grow that stuff in my tank? How long do you think that it will last?

Depends on how big the chunk of wood is and the chemistry in your tank. A natural bacteria will develop and eat it. Could take up to 6 months but often it is gone in 3-5 weeks.
