we are being told to leave due to hurricane rita.no pet stores have fish feeders or emergency battery aireator.sorry about the spelling.we are going to get hit head on by the dam storm.what can we do to help these poor little mollies.we did buy there live plants hopeing that they might eat them.we are leaving tonight and my be gone a week.its a 29 g.and we have a 10 g. with fry and no we dont want to leave the fry for the mollies to eat.that you for any help

you don't have to worry about feeding the adults, the fry will probably be okay for a week. just feed them right before you leave (don't overfeed!) the biggest problem might be if the power goes out for several days and the filters don't run. good luck to you.

Just plan on testing the water as soon as you get back, and if the filters are out for the week you may need to recycle the tank... No food will be fine, actually better to keep down the waste production. Good luck :o

Of course, if you really wanted to, you could put the fish in a tupperware container, float the filter media, take them with you and hook the filter up when you get settled somewhere :D
