Please ID this catfish

Here he is, I suspect he has some sort of mouth infection, which I am treating with teatree oil and epsom salts.
In order to get his tank ph correct etc, I need to know exactly what species it is, i have looked at all the catfish pics, but cant seem to find this one, as hes almost black with leopard type spots on fins and underbelly.

He doesnt move out of his log, I managed to transport him to another tank across the room by taking his log with him still in it.lol

Wow, I have never seen this species before but here's a bump. Have you ruled out Planet Catfish?
 
Looks like a synodontis species.
 
hi there.that is a featherfin,synodontis eupterus.i have one who is seven years old and a great community fish for the larger aquarium...

Can you please post your pic of yours or is it in your gallery?
I'm not sure if this one has a mouth problem.
Or how old this one is.
I am so glad to know it is ok with other fish, was a bit worried for other fish.
