Please Wear Your Seatbelts and Drive Safe!!

I rolled a car when I was 17--the seatbelt prevented me from going out the window and being crushed by the car. I, too, always wear a belt and won't move my car if everyone isn't belted in. It's scary how many people think it's not necessary--but it is, for every trip, every time.

My prayers for your family.

My prayers are offered to your family and your brothers. His poor family. :(

When my husband and I first met, he never wore his belt. He got in the habit fast cuz I wouldn't ride with him unless he did. I'm the same way as many others; insisting my passengers wear their belts.

So sorry.

Wow, man, that sucks. I'm sorry for your loss Adam. :(

Thank-you for the reminder, we always wear our seatbelts, but sometimes it's easy to become complacent and forget about the risks and the "why". I argued with an aquaintance who was angry at getting a ticket for not wearing his belt, he argued that it was his body, his life. I disagree, as you've pointed out, think about all the people you leave behind.

Adam, thoughts and prayers to you, your family and the survivor of the the accident. I've lost good friends in similar situations.

Adam huni I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and my prays go out to you and your family.

Adam...so sorry to hear about your brother and your family's loss.

I used to work in ICU and saw people thats lives were ruined because of not wearing a seatbelt, drinking and driving, not wearing helmets on motercycles, playing chicken , etc. Not only is their life ruined or lost needlessly, their families are devistated. Peolpe don't want to thnk that things will happen to them, but they do.

I hope by your sharing here someone will read and think to buckle up.

Where I live we just had 2 teenaged girls died in a wreck. They were in a van with some other kids coming back from a youth group ski trip. The kids were all sleeping...without seatbelts. The van rolled, and these 2 were thrown out and killed. If they would have had seatbelts on, they would have stayed in and been ok.
Be carefou out there, folks.

Whoa! I just read the part where you said you lost you sister too! Man that is rough!

I think its obvious you have some friends here if you need to talk to someone. Keep your head up. You'll be in my prayers.
