Originally put this in General Freshwater, but thought I'd try here.

How long does it take for a common (Chocolate?) pleco to reach it's full size? Mine is about 6-7" long right now.

Too many different factors. Fish health, diet, environment, tank size, etc etc. Generally speaking, there's a period of fairly rapid growth then slowering growing as they mature. You should be right about to the point where growth starts to slow down.

Fill us in on how often he's fed and with what, his water conditions, tank size etc and we'll try to give you a ballpark figure.

He's in a 75 gal tank - well stocked, but not over stocked. I keep the water conditions very clean and he's fed a mixture of algie wafers, sinking disks, veggies with shrimp pellets. I make sure he doesn't go hungry! He was about 5" long when I got him around 10 mo. ago. I'm thinking the max size for this one is about 10", is that correct?
