Pleco ID

kinda looks like: hypostomus hemicochliodon,
 
He ain't mine yet. I gotta get a species id before actually buying the little guy. He's being sold as a common pleco at petsmart, which is a GREAT deal(did I mention a great deal?) but he needs to be able to be happy in a 40.
 
hmmm. good call. we wound up with a gibbiceps being sold as a common (they knew what he was, but the shipment was supposed to be for commons, and so they could only sell him for the price of the commons). i had no clue about them and stuck him in a 10 gallon till i did some research. hes currently 9" in a 75.
